Sauchiehall Street PBSA approved by Glasgow City Council
Matt Brook Architect's proposals for a 619 bed Purpose Build Student Accommodation development on Sauchiehall Street were approved by Glasgow City Council.
Working within a Conservation Area on the site of an historic former Marks & Spencer Store, our Founding Director Matt Brook said:
“The inclusion of the historic façade and arcade will revitalise the prominent former Marks & Spencer Store site to provide high-quality student housing in a sustainable location, conveniently located near the city centre and university campuses.
Working alongside Savills Planning Team, we developed the scheme to retain the 1930s Art Deco façade, restoring its original design while also reintroducing the historic Wellington Arcade linking Sauchiehall Street and Renfrew Street helping to contribute to the long-term vitality of both streets.”
